In the chatroom of a radio station located in Prilep, Macedonia, six guys find each other. The music that flows from this meeting brings them together and a band is born. In their alternative electropop-sound influences from artists such as The Wombats, Phoenix and MGMT are discernable. Live, their energy hits every venue like a tidal wave. Radio Eliza seems unstoppable. Their debut single Kids instantly hit the nail on the head and the band was declared 3FM Serious Talent in 2016. About this single, 3FM said: “Kids sounds like you’ve heard it on the radio for years: cheerful indiepop that is quick to stay stuck in your head.” The 3voor12 audience later crowned Kids one of the top 100 songs of 2016. After releasing the EP Intergalactic Flurny Furby everything went even faster for the band. In the fall of 2016 Radio Eliza joined the Popronde, during which they broke no less than two records. Playing 45 shows in 40 cities the band wasn’t only the most booked act ever, but also the first to play all Popronde cities. This didn’t go by unnoticed and even OneRepublic became instant fans when they accidentally came wandering into a show. With all these successes under their belt 3voor12 lists the band as one of the 12 acts to watch for the year 2017 and the year kicks off great with a show at Noorderslag, where Radio Eliza afterwards was named as one of the best 25 acts of the festival. This year the band will release brand-new material. Stay tuned.
