“Lobo Dolo” formerly known as “Yvng Lobo” was raised in Manila and moved with his brother Jettas to Virginia. He grew up having all kinds of influences in music coming from different places mainly New York and Toronto and artists from different eras such as Michael Jackson, Mary J. Blige, Jodeci, 112, Mariah Carey, Drake, Tory Lanez, and PARTYNEXTDOOR to name a few. His passion for music grew further when he started djing at the age of 11. Lobo’s music is not one-dimensional and resonates through different types of emotions and phases of his life. He dabbles in different types of genres from alternative hiphop and r&b, to plugg, house, baile funk, afrobeats, and dancehall. In 2018 he started collaborating with fellow Filipino artists Trizzy and Hicci which eventually led to them starting a creative collective together called “Houseparty” other collaborators include F1LO and Houseparty affiliate Young Cocoa who has gained commercial boost from his single Manila. With an ambition to represent his roots, Lobo aspires to be able to showcase his artistry and compete with other artists all around the globe.
