Scriptz was born in Edmonton, Canada on Halloween in 1994 to two parents who met during their own musical act, during their young adulthood before pursuing other careers. Scriptz now lives in Ottawa, Ontario and is a force to be reckoned with in the international underground rap scene. Scriptz specializes in rapping over sounds such as Memphis phonk, EDM, pop and dark trap. Scriptz started rapping in January of 2019 at age 24, and has now written well over a thousand tracks using many different types of rapping techniques and artistry - and over time has developed a signature technical style that combines an over-zealous delivery with strict focus on cadences and ear-catching flows. He is a lead vocalist, frontman and technical musician at heart - with a love for many topics outside of music such as philosophy, mysticism, symbolism and theosophy - which he imbues his music with. He is also a huge fan of Japanese culture, both artistic and historical - with a strong love for anime aesthetics and the feudal Japan period. He has struggled immensely with mental illness throughout his life and talks about this in his lyrics, often pretending to be insane or using the esoteric and intense beliefs he had during past psychotic episodes as food for his lyrical ideas. Scriptz is a rapper that can create pretty much any sound - and he focuses on synthesizing an eclectic form of rap where he pulls from many sources and inspirations to create something completely new.
