Peak Degeneracy In Music Inquiries: ovgbusinessmgmt@gmail.com Instagram/Twitter: @ovgofficial_ Originally started as a joke, ovg! was created to prove that anyone could succeed in music. During a late night argument, a group of friends was joking about how bad one of their rapping skills was. He responded with “Why don’t you do it yourself? Then you’ll see how hard it is…” So they did. A close duo within the group decided to start ovg! and see how far they could take it. Unfamiliar with common rap topics, they decided to rap about waifus because of their shared love towards anime. Within a few months, millions of streams started flowing in, and they started to realize this ‘joke’ was an actual opportunity. Following initial success from their single “Virginity Syndrome”, ovg! proceeded to drop many hit songs such as “Isekai Party” and “WAIFU! WAIFU! CHOPPER!”, all revolving around anime topics and playful exaggerations of the ‘weeb’ stereotype meant to bring a smile to everyone’s faces. With hundreds of thousands of listeners and hundreds of millions of plays, ovg! showed that anime fans can make a big splash in the music scene as well.
