Rapper Azuki, 20, born and bred in Northampton, is breaking out with his atmospheric and distinctive style of trap music. At a young age, the rapper would scribble lyrics and record rough versions of songs. However, it was when he was introduced to the likes of Young Thug and A$AP Mob that he wanted to pursue the trap sound in the UK. The impact of trap music and more specifically plugg exposed Azuki to different styles of music for him to experiment with. Over the past two years, the rapper has been proactive by shaping the lane he wants to carve within the bubbling British trap scene, Azuki credits his producer and collaborator Roddy Beatz as a big influence on the music he makes. Azuki describes music as ‘an escape’ from everyday life, allowing him to express himself honestly without reservations. Azuki's buzz has been steadily growing, welcoming attention from both new listeners and the music industry for his refreshing approach to rap. His latest piece of work is a tape called ‘Fly Forever’ displaying the excitement and versatility of Azuki on Trap beats. He also has an EP entitled ‘LEAVE EARTH’ which is a 5 song project that really kick started his trap sound.
