Korrupt is a blackened punk band from Kristiansand in the south of Norway. Their sound is an amalgam of Turbonegro, Comeback Kid, Kvelertak, and vocalist Marius' previous band Social Suicide. After years of covid-silence, Korrupt are finally back with their 2nd album "Secret Sorrows", which will manifest on digital formats and vinyl on March 1st 2023. Armed with dad jokes and words of wisdom, the south coast punk rockers wish you a warm welcome to the garbage dump AKA earth. Korrupt is giving the middle finger to fucked up industries whether they produce war or pigs. The lyrics are a call to arms against organized religion, echo chambers, and cultural imperialism. Secret sorrows is a funeral meal of black rock, enchanted with Turbonegroesque riffs and the catchiest choruses from Norway since Jahn Teigen. Prepare to get optimistic! The album is recorded by the band itself with help from Simen Høgdal Pedersen on drum recording. It's mixed by Lars Bjerke (Mantric, Halcyon Days, Life Lessons), and produced by Marius Jahnsen, Fredrik Nome, and Henrik Kyte Assmann from Korrupt.
