Born in 2014, this São Paulo based band delivers an energetic mix of several shades of Folk music, tethered with the Punk Rock spice. Rebels and Sinners draws its inspiration from icons like Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Peggy Seeger, and modern geniuses such as Flogging Molly, Of Monsters and Men, Mumford and Sons and Dropkick Murphys. Founded by the singer, guitarist and drummer Renato dos Santos, most of the melodies and lyrics rely on his passionate and rebellious attitude towards the world. Each of the songs are refined by the beautiful and technical approach from the singer and fiddler Fernanda Pfaffenbach, while Jonathas Peschiera leads the rhythm session with his warm and heavy bass. The band left its footprint on the local folk scene, playing on many festivals, pubs and events around the county, until 2017 they decided to work on their first album. The newborn “Day’s Just Began” brings eleven songs that compose the identity of the band, paving the way to establish themselves as authoral artists. In 2018 the band had the pleasure to work with their inspiring idols from Flogging Molly for a tour, which gave birth to their live album “Tour’s Just Begun”. By the end of 2020, Rebels and Sinners released a version for REM’s anthem “End of the World” featured on a single that follows the same title. Later in 2021, the band released another single that goes by the name of “Invincible”, while the second album is on final steps of conclusion.
