    Much has changed with Girl Meets Bear since emerging from Edmonton, Canada with fresh homegrown demos in 2011. Although Girl Meets Bear’s unique approach to songwriting has not wavered, the project’s sound has vastly expanded and matured through the collaboration of Torontos Mike Rocha (Electric Youth, Greys). Girl Meets Bear’s debut EP Flight Paths is an album of work that calls on vintage new wave elements, contemporary synth-pop hooks, and Canadian rock sensitivity. Sitting somewhere between Metric and Death From Above 1979, GMB have done their homework and it shows on Flight Paths. Tracks from the EP have enjoyed success on Canadian college radio as well as play on CBC Radio and Toronto’s 102.1 The Edge. The band has seen placement of their music on CBC’s sitcom “Schitt’s Creek” and Toronto indie film “The Big Fix”.
