    Vocalist Del Castillo, bassist March Cesare, keyboardist Frank Levin, drummer Scott Milks and guitarist Marc Parent founded the Ontario-based Eight Seconds in 1982. After winning a local talent contest and later recording the mini-album Ottava Rima, the band signed with Polygram and released Almacantar in 1986.
