Haoren first broke into the limelight as a contestant of leading Malaysian broadcaster Astro's Star Quest reality competition in 2008. In December of the same year, he released his first album, making him one of the fastest young artists to do so. Haoren stands out with his combination of singing, dancing and original song-writing. Not limiting himself to just music, he has also been cast in key roles of local and international feature films, TV series as well as a sought after host.
