Born in Modesto, CA Brett Max is a rapper/producer who resides in San Diego, CA. Getting into Music at the age of 10, he started with guitar. He quickly realized music was his passion and spent his summers playing shows through School of Rock. When he was 15, he discovered hip hop through after school battle raps. When he was 16, he graduated high school and moved to San Diego to study Music at San Diego Mesa College. He graduated with his AA in Basic Musicianship and decided to not continue his education, instead beginning his rap career when he was 19 with an EP entitled “Freshman”. The EP met little success. He decided to start doing weekly tracks in late 2015 in order to “pay his dues and continuously improve.” His 5th video, a Selena Gomez remix, garnered nearly 2 million views on Facebook before being taken down due to copyright claim. He continued to have successful weekly videos he then called “FireFridays”. His biggest success being a remix to Hoodie Allen’s “You Are Not A Robot” which samples Marina & the Diamonds. In mid 2017 he released a mixtape entitled “Vintage”. He then picked up weekly tracks again and met nearly instant success with several remixes and originals that garnered millions of views on Facebook. In November of 2020, he started releasing new music again for the first time in over 2 years with the release of "Right Now" - the first single off of his upcoming album "Akrasia". Since then he has release a new song every week.
