U.K. thrashers Hydra Vein were formed in Brighton in 1986. Their debut album, 1988’s Rather Death Than False of Faith, was an aggressive thrash metal album that achieved cult status in the intervening years and was followed by 1989's After the Dream, before the band split up in 1990. Now based in the Netherlands, Hydra Vein returned in 2022 with their third album, Unlamented.
