There are many stories surrounding Shadow Smile. Some say they’re a Heavy Metal band just like all the rest… others say there is something more sinister at work. 
 Shadow Smile first began releasing music in late 2019. The unholy sounds they produce combine the huge riffs of metal titans such as Avenged Sevenfold and Ghost with the contemporary stylings of modern bands like Bring Me the Horizon and While She Sleeps. 
 The band consists of lead singer (and rumoured vampire aristocrat) Connor Byron McGovern, a guitar player named Adam Smith (who allegedly sold his soul to the Devil for the tastiest licks this side of Hell), bass player Ethan Goebel-Todd (who has been referred to as the ‘pet gerbil’ of the band. We don’t even want to know what that means), and drummer Joe Fletcher (who threatens to bring about the apocalypse with every pounding of his drums). 
 Since their emergence, Shadow Smile have been seducing impressionable metal fans into their cult, with each of their shows lined with a sea of Shadow Smile t-shirts and music videos full of fire, druids and scantily clad ladies. Some say they are ‘corrupting the youth’ and ‘spreading a satanic message’ but a spokesperson for the so-called Shadow Smile Cult reassured us, saying: “don’t be afraid. You will join the creatures of the night… in the end”
