Violeta de Outono was formed in 1984 in São Paulo, Brazil, by Fabio Golfetti, Angelo Pastorello and Claudio Souza, molding its sound by mixing current trends at the time with the Pink Floyd / Beatles psychedelia, and quickly gained public attention and media. The band has remained active over more than 30 years, their first LP from 1987 is marked by a psychedelia shrouded in shadows that has achieved a feat of attracting fans of progressive rock and post-punk and dark/gothic styles. The trio debuted in 1986 with the EP "Violeta De Outono" through the label Wop Bop Discos, and released the LP “Violeta De Outono” in 1987 and the album “Em Toda Parte” in 1989, during its RCA/BMG period. Also from that period is the EP The Early Years featuring 4 classic psychedelic covers. During the 90’s and early 2000’s the band met sporadically, and recorded some demos and released Mulher Na Montanha 1999) , Ilhas (2005) and the DVD Violeta de Outono & Orquestra. In 2007 the band returned as a quartet and recorded a trilogy that started with album Volume 7, followed by “Espectro”and completing the cycle, the album “Spaces”released in 2016. In 2017 the original trio got together especially to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the release of their first LP of 1987. This show was recorded and released in the album "Dia Eterno" by Music*Magick. Since then the trio has been active with some concerts scheduled and a future album with lost compositions is in the band plans.
