Spacehotel is the solo project of Coventry, England born Musician/Songwriter/Producer Paul Timson. A self taught multi-instrumentalist (Piano, Keyboards, Guitars, Bass, Drums & Vocals). He produces & engineers his own music. Timson began creating music as a child in the 80s. Influences include Depeche Mode, Blur, Duran Duran, Mansun, ELO & The Bee Gees! A long chat with Damon Albarn at a Blur aftershow party at the Sheffield Leadmill in November 1995 was pivotal in the future direction of Spacehotel's music. That night Timson jokingly asked Albarn if he had "any songwriting tips?" to which Albarn replied with a smile "Just write songs...", and this helped validate Timson's belief that he was on the right track writing songs for the love of music, and "for himself" rather than for fashions or fame. This inspirational meeting added some confidence to Timson's early musical ideas and spurred him on to take it more seriously, but while always retaining the fun element and doing things on his own terms! Spacehotel's first release was 'Full On EP' (2008). In August 2014 Spacehotel's song "Rewind 25" was featured in a prominent scene in the USA network show "RUSH" (Starring Tom Ellis) with a viewing audience of just under 2 Million for the episode. In 2016 the song was also featured in a party scene in season 3 episode 1 of ABC's "The Goldbergs" with over 8 Million viewers on broadcast! The debut Spacehotel album is currently being recorded!
