The Tourists are a band formed in Ulaanbaatar Mongolia 2014. Starting out as a hard rock group they released their debut self titled album "The Tourists" in 2016 and released their first EP album "Departure" 2019. People may recognize them through their girl singer YOKO who sang all their songs in their debut album but parted ways with the band not shortly after due to artistical differences. Now the members include, (Batnasan Sukhbaatar - Lead Vocals, Lead Guitar) (Anand Naranbaatar - Bass Guitar) (Berkhee Bayarkhuu - Drummer, Backing vocals) (Jack - Rhythm Guitar). In an interview made with the band on 2022, they said they are working on their second sophomore album as of february 2022. They also described the music they play now as a bit different than what they used to play before. Influences for their new sound came from the likes of Jimi hendrix, The Strokes, The Arctic Monkeys, The Modern lovers, The cure. "We don't like to call ourselves indie rock, but deep inside I guess we are" - Berkhee said. They describe their new music as Garage Rock, Alternative Rock, Indie Rock.
