Baby Weight is a DJ, producer, and label boss from Washington, D.C. who has gained notoriety for her “chunky” style of dance music. Her genre bending sound, dynamic DJ sets, and advocacy for more inclusivity in dance music has earned the respect of peers like Walker & Royce, The Blessed Madonna, Claude VonStroke, Justin Martin, DJ Sliink, LP Giobbi, VNSSA, Kevin Knapp, and Idris Elba among others. In 2017, Eser started the label Chub Rub which she uses to showcase emerging sounds across the house music spectrum. In 2019, her album ‘Phases’ peaked in multiple Top 10 before spawning a remix album the following year. In 2020, she came out as transgender citing a need to address her transition as an artist and in her personal life. Later that year, her track “Rave Police” reached #1 paving the way to a wider audience. In 2021, Eser was in Mixmag’s ‘Impact’ series where they called her “resolutely anti-bullshit and pro fun.” Since then, she’s had features on BBC Radio 6, BBC Radio 1, Diplo’s Revolution, and has played festivals including Dirtybird Campout, EDC Vegas, Hard Summer, Lightning in a Bottle, and Firefly. In 2022, Baby Weight released “House Princess” with Karnage Kills to commercial and critical acclaim including a feature in Calvin Klein’s Pride campaign that year. In 2023, she was nominated by DJ Mag as Breakthrough DJ of the Year. With an undeniable energy and music steeped in emotional integrity, Baby Weight is quickly becoming a dance music industry darling.
