Aniceto Molina, also known as El Tigre Sabanero, is a vallenato cumbia singer/accordionist from Colombia whose career spans several decades and whose popularity extends throughout the Americas. Born in El Campano, he began playing the accordion at age 12. From 1973 to 1984 he lived in Mexico City, where he established himself as a popular recording artist, and from 1984 onward he lived in San Antonio, Texas. Over the years Molina toured frequently with his band, Los Sabaneros, and garnered a devoted following that extended from North America to Central and South America. Some of his best-known songs include "La Cumbia Sampuesana," "Josefina," "Apartamento #3," "La Burra Tuerta," "El Condor Legendario," and "La Campanera." His album releases are too numerous to list and include a long line of greatest-hits compilations. ~ Jason Birchmeier, Rovi
