Calina is the alias of Colombian singer, songwriter and vocal producer, Carolina Salinas. In 2017 she released Semicolon, a pop and R&B-driven album talking about mental health problems, such as depression and anxiety. This album was produced by Nicolas "Na'vi"De La Espriella, Latin Grammy and Grammy award winning producer. After that she decided to take a break from releasing her own music and started working for other artists and producers as a songwriter and a vocal producer (Danna Paola, Aitana, RBD, Carlos Vives, Andres Torres y Mauricio Rengifo, CASTA, Llane, Las Villa, Ventino, Bacilos, Juan Pablo Vega, TIMØ , Santiago Deluchi, Juliana, Henao, Lina Sanabria, etc). Doing so got her to meet more people in the music industry, this leading her to Sunamy, a Latin Grammy award winner producer who was looking for singers to be featured on his solo project as a DJ. In 2022, Calina participates as one of the vocal producers in Carlos Vives album "Cumbiana II" which ends up being nominated in the 65th Annual Grammy Awards as Best Tropical Latin Album and the winning album in the same category at the 23rd Annual Latin Grammy Awards. She also starts recording and writing music for TV shows such as Pálpito, Fake Profile, Calle y Poché Sin filtros and in movies such as Look Both Ways making her have music on 3 global #1 shows/movies and one in #1 show in Colombia and many other Latin American countries.
