The persona of a producer and singer Mahdi Ali Mahdi, MaMan finds the Khartoum-based artist experimenting with fractured blend of hip-hop and R&B. His single ‘Love, Love you Baby’ which he wrote for his fiancé, then, wife has open doors for him into the world of R&B which after a string of singles including the hit song ‘Alright’ that he was featured in by TooDope enabled him to release his first album ‘1991’. Western music such as R&B is not a genre recognised in Sudan and he wanted to bring western and Sudanese elements into his music, which inspired him to bring this image onto YoungJustus Entertainment.
