Growing up in a traditional Taiwanese family, 30-year-old music producer JASS YANG observed the emotional suppression and the sense of inferiority from the collectivism society of his side of the world. He decided to quit his job as a boyband idol in a major label company and started to embrace himself into the world of music and traditional cultures, aiming to light up the lantern of pride in the modern world for his own people. JASS YANG’s artwork not only features traditional instrumentalists and artisans, but also filled with the sounds of various traditional rituals from Taiwan.
