    Also known as Long Haul Paul, Paul Marhoefer was discovered at the age of 55 in the back of a Muscle Shoals area garage by legendary session musician , Travis Wammack. He would later adopt the nom de plume of Long Haul Paul ( his CB handle since the nineties) after hearing a deejay from North Carolina struggling to pronounce his surname. After collaborating with Wammack on a Muscle Shoals project , Long Haul Paul was signed to Laughing Hyena Records , ( Jeff Foxworthy, Ron White, Joey Holiday) , a long time truck stop label. Still a part time trucker, LHP plays about 20 shows a year, at truck shows, house concerts , and and small theaters.
