Biyografi
The German band BÖHSE ONKELZ has been founded in 1980 by Stephan Weidner (bass), Kevin Russel (vocals) and Peter „Pe“ Schorowsky (drums). The fourth band member Matthias „Gonzo“ Röhr (guitar) joined them in 1981 and they have since become one of the most successful German speaking rock band of all times. They started out in the small but vibrant punk scene in Frankfurt am Main but soon found their true calling within the hardrock genre. This proved to be the beginning of their success with a wider audience and in 1992 the Album „Heilige Lieder“ reached a top 5 chart position. More chart successes followed until it became clear that the BÖHSE ONKELZ were a crucial and permanent part of the German music landscape. After releasing six number one albums in a row the band decided to split up in 2004 due to lead singer Kevin Russel’s now resolved drug problems. They played their last concert in front of an audience of 120,000 fans. In 2014 the BÖHSE ONKELZ announced their reunion which was received by an incredible enthusiasm of their fans. The two comeback concerts drew 200,000 people to the legendary Hockenheimring racing track in Germany - only to be topped by the four concerts that followed in 2015, attracting a crowd of 350,000 people. The new album „Memento“ was released in 2016 and immediately reached the number one chart position. The tour that followed was sold out within days and their record sales have now reached the 10 million mark.
