Growing up in Cincinnati, Loren North couldn’t get to sleep at night without her cassette player turned on. Now based in Orange County, California, the singer-songwriter has returned to the studio. Loren’s upcoming single, “Recycle,” will be released July 7, 2023. It is the first single from her upcoming EP, “Narratives,” set to be released later this year. “I feel like the songs that have been coming out this past year are the song of the last half a decade process really. Overcoming insecurity and learning to love myself fully through my twenties, processing through drastic life changes, and not wanting to lose the moments and memories of my younger years while life quickly moves along. Embracing those around me with all the love I can give while things change and evolve. All of those emotions.” Inspired by the likes of Norah Jones, Etta James, Colbie Calliat, and Natasha Bedingfield, North’s new music is a balanced curation of pop catchy melodies and indie-folk inspired storytelling. Her music has been recognized and licensed for TV and film and has aired on ABC, MTV, HALLMARK, and within Disney’s catalog of music.
