Within the work as a sound artist, Rosa Anschütz is oscillating between singing and spoken words, touching on both the intangibility and materially of one’s identity, contradictions and infatuations. In her first two Albums Votive (2021) and Goldener Strom (2022) as well as her EP Rigid (2019), Anschütz portrays the act of both resisting currents and surrendering to the movement of life. Her text is rooted in daily notes, thoughts and observations, in a tender yet sharp exploration of what it entails to find, recreate and reject sense in ever-changing and multilayered paradigms of today.
