Billyrrom is an independent band that has suddenly appeared in the Tokyo live house scene and is causing a new trend. Formed in 2020 by university students from Machida City, Tokyo, the band is making great strides at live houses in Shibuya and Shimokitazawa. Each member has a wide range of roots in various genres of music such as Michael Jackson, Tatsuro Yamashita, Jamiroquai, Radiohead, and RIPSLYME, as well as a respect for the artist Taro Okamoto and science fiction culture such as George Orwell and the works of "Ghost in the Shell" and so on. The musicality is soulful funkiness via rock and city pop. The band's signature cutting guitars with a sense of speed. Tight rhythms and danceable beat sense. The band's name was derived from the "obsessive" mindset of Bill Evans, whom they admire, and from the belief that they also value the fluidity of the mobile Gypsy Roma people who "transmit their music from various places". A music critic called their evolving, aggressive sound "TOKYO TRANSITION SOUL". Billyrrom is expected to make a big leap from 2022 to 2023.
