The BlueBirds started as three Singer/Songwriters (Elske deWall, Krystl & Rachèl Louise) who discovered each other in Country Music. Since 2017 they’ve been playing renowned venues like Paradiso and Concert at Sea and have had regular TV performances on popular shows such as RTL Late Night alongside successful club and major theatrical tours. But…the trio is expanding. In 2021 The BlueBirds have become a collective, in which Krystl & Rachèl Louise will continue leading and performing as permanent “Birds.” They’ve currently collaborated with 9 different female Dutch artists on their new album Great Big World. Yori Swart, Kris Berry, Stephanie Struijk, Janne Schra, Birgit Schuurman, Leonie Meijer, Lorrèn, Hadewych Minis and of course Elske deWall will be performing on the record as Special Guests. The BlueBirds’ new record expresses a new sound: indie, folky and even cinematic at times. The love for women is predominant and the stories from within are told with a new layer of honesty. With these musical collaborations, The BlueBirds want to show you that working and writing together can bring these musical friendships to a whole new level.
