WITCHTRAP is an old school thrash metal band from Medellín – Colombia. The band started in early 1992 under the name "Dark Millennium", playing classic death metal, but in 1993 they changed their style to thrash metal and the band's name turned to WITCHTRAP. The band recorded their demo tapes in 1996 and 1997 and the first demo was release in 1997 all was due of lack of money and poor technical conditions, their debut Ep "Witching Metal" was out in 2000, and their debut full length "Sorceress Bitch" was out in 2002, both given to the band the status as a new promise into the underground metal scene as cult band from South America, in 2006 the band got be signed by North American label "Hells Headbangers Records" until today. Right now the band has gotten more exposure due of "HHR" work in the metal scene all around the world, also their stuff has been licensed by many record labels too, from Europe, Asia, South and North America, also the band has been booked to play in many countries in South and North America such as: Ecuador, Chile, Peru, México and USA(3 times from coast to coast), in addition the band has been booked in Oslo World Music Fest 2014 in Norway, besides their main appearance, that was in 70000 Tons Of Metal 2017. BTW, is OUT now a new full length, the fifth on their music career, called "Evil Strikes Again", on March 9th 2020, this album is on the top Metal albums so far this year by Metal Injection, among big bands such as Ozzy, Lamb of God, etc.
