Munk is a project of Mathias Modica. Also know as Kapote. Producer, DJ, vinyl collector, pianoplayer and founder of german labels Gomma, Toy Tonics and Kryptox. The first Munk released appeared in 2002. Three albums and collabos with artists such as James Murphy and Nancy Whang of LCD Soundsystem, Peaches, Asia Argento, Bobby Conn, The Rammellzee and many others.  The Munk sound is a wild mix of Disco, Jazzfunk, House, Electronica. Modica combines his backround as jazzpiano student and bandleader, as well as music afficionado for all kinds of weird and interesting universes and his skills as a electronic music producer with his knowledge of the DJ culture and all kind.  Since 2018 Munk and Gomma records are sleepin. Mathias Modica is focused on his new project Kapote. And the labels Toy Tonics and Kryptox.
