Pan Daijing is a Berlin-based musician, artist and composer. Using analogue synthesizers, deconstructed instruments, human voices and field recordings, she makes music ranging from operatic to noise. As a performer she works with sound, movement and architecture to create enveloping experiences for audiences to enter and inhabit. Her acclaimed debut album Lack, which features excerpts of improvised live performances, was released on Berlin label PAN in 2017. Since then Pan Daijing has developed and exhibited a number of performance artworks including Fist Piece (2017), a complex choreography of flm, sound and performance premiered in Kraftwerk, Berlin; and Tissues (2019), an opera of five acts commissioned by Tate Modern and performed by an ensemble of thirteen singers and dancers.
