    Dutch band from Tilburg which was founded in 1981 by composer Tom America. MAM, with America, Mark van Woerkom (guitar), Pieter Bon (vocals) and Antoine Kroes (guitar) records its first album (MAM) in 1983. The band develops its own style that is characterized by complicated, effective guitar lines and the use of a rhythm box. Key words are idiosyncrasies, evolution, experiment and simplicity. Those features define the undeniable quality of the band. Early 90s, the band consists of Tom America, singer Pieter Bon, drummer Pjotr van der Made, keyboard player Sander van der Heide and guitarist Marco Raaphorst. In 1995 MAM releases its last album 'Look: Nederlands!' MAM's constant factor has been the collaboration between Tom America and Pieter Bon for thirteen years.
