メロウなサイケデリアで多くのフォロワーを生む現代屈指のライブバンドOGRE YOU ASSHOLE。 00年代USインディーとシンクロしたギターサウンドを経て 石原洋プロデュースのもとサイケデリックロック、クラウトロック等の要素を取り入れた 「homely」「100年後」「ペーパークラフト」のコンセプチュアルな三部作で評価を決定づける。 初のセルフプロデュースに取り組んだ前作「ハンドルを放す前に」では バンド独自の表現を広げる事に成功し高い評価を得る。 2010年 全米・カナダ18ヶ所をまわるアメリカツアーに招聘される。 2014年 フジロックフェスティバル ホワイトステージ出演。 2018年 日比谷野外音楽堂でワンマンライブを開催。 OGRE YOU ASSHOLE is a 4 piece band from Japan. OYA has established their reputation as a live band by performing completely different live arrangements from their original recording versions on their albums at their shows. Their Kraut rock / Psychedelic rock inspired live arrangements of a song could often expand to more than 10 minutes long improvisational jam sessions. Some of those new arrangements are on the remix/re-arranged album "Confidential" released in 2013 and “Workshop” the first live album released in 2015. Numbers of appearances at popular music festivals and touring with various alternative rock bands such as Modest Mouse, MGMT, Wolf Parade, Deerhunter, MERZBOW, Connan Mockasin, Arto Lindsay, Kula Shaker, Michael Rother, Sunset Rollercoaster and many more. In October 2009, OYA went on a North American tour, supporting Wolf Parade, in November 2010. OYA has created three concept albums (trilogy), “homely”, “100 years passed” and “Papercraft” with the produce team, the producer You Ishihara (ex-White Heaven, The Stars) and the sound engineer Soichiro Nakamura OYA’s long awaited new album “New kind of man” released on September 4, 2019.
