Kysean was born and raised in the Greater Toronto Area. Growing up, he used music as a way of harnessing his emotions into something others could relate to. Kysean began sharing his works on SoundCloud in 2015, where several of his songs accumulated over 100,000 streams. He is best known for his song “Rockstar” which garnered over a quarter million streams on SoundCloud alone. 
 Kysean earned himself multiple co-signs from OVO artist Roy Woods. He opened up for Roy on his tour across North America, as well as Tink for her show in Toronto. Kysean gained further recognition; “Rockstar” was featured on Drake’s OVO Sound Radio on Beats 1 (Episode 57) and his buzz continued to grow. He made contributions to Drake’s “Can’t Take A Joke” on Scorpion. Kysean’s also been featured on Toronto’s Flow 93.5 radio station, as well as Vibe 105 where he shared a freestyle. 
 Kysean was also recognized by Complex Canada as their “Artist of the Month” for his song titled “For the Low.” Kysean’s known for his play on words and double entendres, as well as his introspective sound and melodies. One of his latest releases, “Derecho”, was featured on Sound 42 by the popular SiriusXM radio station. He is now working on his debut EP titled “Unfortunate”, which embodies his journey so far, and incorporates his clever mosaic of trap and unparalleled genres. With a track record of good music and career highlights, Kysean is definitely an artist to look out for next year.
