RINGGIT MOB, a Malaysian hip hop group. Formed in 2018 and composed of 4 members YUNG FLEXX, BUDDHA JOE, BOOMIT and FR - the group is locally known for their single track ‘Gong Xi’. With the Malaysian currency ‘Ringgit’ in the group name, RINGGIT MOB hopes to shape the local hip hop scene, setting their eyes to place Malaysia on the world stage of Chinese hip hop. With the abbreviation of RINGGIT MOB being ‘RM’, which spells the same as the Malaysian currency abbreviation, shows the unwavering spirit of the group to be the hip hop icon representing Malaysia. In 2018, the members met in a rap talent show. Realizing their like-mindedness and common goals, the group RM was founded. Their music is all about expressing themselves with no labels, no limits. To RM, hip hop is not just a music genre, but a culture and their way of living — that is, keeping it real and staying true to oneself.
