Biyografi

Born and raised together in Northwest Philadelphia, ABBATIA was seemingly destined to take root. The unkempt trio of Syd Solanke, Jazz Vicaris, and Droogie have been creating together for virtually their entire lives before arriving upon the demented sonic hellscapes under the ABBATIA heraldry. 
 The three are lifelong best friends in their early 20s, bonded by a deep love for the niche worlds of music, manga, video games and film. The blood tinged vocals, along with Syd’s cutthroat digital drums and bass, create an onslaught of violent character on any given track. 100% of the music production and visuals are done in-house by Syd and Droogie (respectively). While Jazz forges the hooky structural mesh that make these tracks as addictive as they are abrasive. Droogie has also done music videos and live visuals for artists like Toro y Moi and Daedelus. All of these respective skills construct a powerhouse for self-made media, that feels as if it’s coming from a monolithic cult. Their next 6-song EP, Red Room, is out in November on A2B2 Records - a label recently launched by Andy Morin (of Death Grips). ~ John Music
