Country artist Amanda Kind's latest single "Rebel Spirit" is a rockin’ girl-power anthem all about being bold, brave, and letting your wild heart take the lead. Released on International Women’s Day, and in honour of Kind’s feisty 12-year-old nieces, the song is a call to action for women and girls to break the mold, use their voices, and be true to themselves. "Rebel Spirit" follows Kind's popular song "Slow Dance," which peaked at #7 on the SiriusXM Top of the Country chart. Raised on Canada's west coast in White Rock, British Columbia, Amanda now calls Waterloo, Ontario home. Growing up, her biggest musical inspirations came from a wide variety of artists from The Chicks and Shania Twain, to Alanis Morrisette, Mariah Carey, and more. Recent releases include “Love Used To Live Here,” “Distant Memory,” and the popular duet “We’re Okay” with fellow country artist James Downham. “Slow Dance” is the second song from her upcoming debut EP “The Good Fight,” which will be released in 2023. Outside of writing and performing, Amanda is a commercial music vocal coach working with professional singers, indie artists, and aspiring young performers in many genres. Her work has garnered her the Rogers Television Woman of the Year Award, a Waterloo Region Arts Award, and recognition as one of the region’s Top 40 Under 40. www.amandakind.com
