Inge van Calkar, voted best artist in the North at ESNS 2021 and nominated for a BUMA award in 2022 releases a mesmerizing winter ballad. With a soulful, cool way of singing that is reminiscent of Annie Lennox's I saved the world today and repetitive, hypnotic guitar playing that would also fit on a song by The War on Drugs or the White Lies, the singer presents herself in a new style. ‘When recording this song we went back to using real instruments and less electronica. The real drums and bass helped to achieve the warmth and soul we were looking for’. Inge van Calkar makes quirky pop songs about 'everything except complaining and heartbreak'. The singer, who is always dressed in white, moves gracefully through various danceable styles such as alternative pop, indie rock and disco.
