Biyografi
Verônica Sabino was born in Rio de Janeiro/Brazil, and is known for her poetic voice and powerful interpretation. Her music blends traditional Brazilian musical styles such as Bossa Nova, Samba, Pop romantic ballads with a contemporary approach, which is considered to be MPB (Brazilian Popular Music) She made her solo debut alongside Ivan Lins ("Começar de Novo"/1985). and released her first studio album (Metamorphose/1985), musically directed by Bossa Nova legend Roberto Menescal, and was considered one of Brasilian’s Music revelations. Her breakthrough came with ‘Demais’/1986, a cover version of the Lennon&McCartney song "Yes, It Is", included in the soundtrack of TV Globo soap opera "Selva de Pedra", one of the most watched in the history of Brazilian TV. Soon after, Veronica launched one of Chico Buarque’s greatest hits, 'Todo Sentimento', which is still regarded as a classic. The year 1992 brought more success with her duet with Emilio Santiago in a version of “All I ask Of You” ("Tudo o Que Se Quer"), one of the most famous Brasilian romantic ballads. During her career, Sabino has performed alongside important Brazilian music artists such as Milton Nascimento, Carlos Lyra, Gilberto Gil, Zeca Baleiro, Martinho da Vila and had the album 'Verônica'/1991 released in Japan and 'Novo Sentido'/1996 in France. In her sixth album ‘Agora’/2003 Veronica recorded her own compositions for the very first time, receiving much critical aclaim.
