With parents both hailing from Ethiopia, Eden Alene was born in Jerusalem, Israel, 20 years ago. After studying Ballet for 11 years, Eden started taking vocal training lessons and soon enough decided to pursuit a singing career. While living in Jerusalem, as a teenager, Eden was in a choir of local young adults, coming from all religions of the city and showing the potential in music to make people from different cultures and ethnicities work together in harmony. Growing up, Eden was obsessed with Soul and Pop artists such as Beyonce, Jennifer Hudson and Chris Brown. She takes inspiration from many different styles and genres of music, including Arabic folk music, Gospel and Opera. Despite her young age, Eden already represented Israel in four different delegations, three were to the United States and one was to Germany. During that time, she won 2 of the country's leading music reality shows: the Israeli 'X Factor' and the 'Next Star'. In the past two years, Eden has been serving in the IDF as a singer in a military band and she splits her time between performances in the army, in Israel and abroad. During these days Eden is working on new music and is focused on Eurovision 2021.
