“Rapaz 100 Juiz " is a Hip Hop group formed in Assomada, Santa Catarina on August 13th, 2006, after winning a contest of hip hop in the same city. The group consists of Pericles da Costa (PNC) and Carlos Monteiro [Cmc) The group was created with the goal to address and describe the social problems of Cape-Verdean youths of, through music, and always looking for constructive criticism in order to make their contribution to the development of Cape Verde. From 2006 to 2009, the group made five mix tapes that have become popular among young people and the Cape Verdean national radios stations. They also recorded their first music video " Kulpa ka di bo" which became a hit on TV channels and YouTube. In 2010 the group recorded their first album titled “Claridade” with 14 musical themes and had a great success within the Cape Verdean public, inside and outside the country. Already at the end of that year, the group made their first European tour with performances in Portugal, Switzerland, France and Luxembourg. The same album was the cause of group participation in all the most prestigious festivals in all the islands of Cape Verde.
