Erin Kaith is a Filipino-American singer from Queens, New York, whose single "Down Bad" made her a breakout star on Tik Tok. Erin started her musical journey at the age of 13, when she suffered from anxiety and depression but did not feel comfortable speaking about her issues with others. This motivated her to put her feelings down on paper, and she began writing. Her writing was mixed with a melody, and her outlet for self-therapy became the beginning of her music career. She started as a pop music fan from artists such as Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez but gravitated towards R&B through artists like Jhene Aiko and Kehlani. Erin's main musical influence is Saweetie, who she was able to connect with through Twitter. Saweetie even mentioned in an interview that she would love to collaborate with Erin. Aside from her musical talent, Erin respects Saweetie's work ethic and self-made career. Other artists she would like to collaborate with include 6lack, Ty$, Kehlani, and Jhene Aiko. Erin is an advocate for the LGBTQ+ community and supports the Black Lives Matter movement. Her favorite part about being an artist is hearing positive feedback from her audience. As someone who started music through a struggle with mental health, she loves hearing that her music helps others through similar struggles.
