 Up with the Birds is a song about what it feels like to fall in love. That blissful, floating feeling you get when you’re young and in love, or rather the type of falling so sweepingly in love that you just “feel so young” as Sinatra would say. 
Love Songs & Lullabies. 
 Emily Sage is an Independent Songwriter, Producer, and Composer that specializes in love songs and lullabies. Sage’s music has strong leanings in jazz and soul. Her romantic and lullaby-like songwriting style is largely influenced by her time spent growing up in Portugal. 
 Sage is not typical in her approach to music, she weaves her love of visual art/creative direction and community to curate unique experiences and cross-medium collaborations. 
 Sage has been asked to both perform and speak at events Worldwide such as Sofar Sounds, Creative Mornings, Charlotte Women’s March, US National Whitewater Center, and the Knight Theatre. Her music has also been featured on NPR, WFAE’s Amplifier, Charlotte Agenda, and the Queen City Nerve. In QC Nerve’s “Best in The Nest,” Emily Sage was named Critic’s Pick Best Singer/Songwriter of 2019.
