New Threads (stylized as new threads) is a rock band founded in Nashville, Tennessee. Formed in Tennessee in 2016 by Jacob Keplinger on guitar and Justin Siegel on drums, the band recorded three albums (2018's NEW THREADS and 2019's Felonious Wilma and Threadsboro) in their home-built studio in Nashville with a wide variety of other musicians living in the area. Besides Keplinger and Siegel, the band's most prominent members included guitarist Jake Burdock (Felonious Wilma, Threadsboro), bassist Daniel Suarez (NEW THREADS, Threadsboro), guitarist Nick Cheater (NEW THREADS), and bassist Eric Chalifour (Felonious Wilma). The pair relocated to Boston, Massachusetts shortly after the release of 2019's Threadsboro, and with the addition of Justin's cousin James Siegel on bass and Jacob's brother Jackson Keplinger on keys, they dropped the New Threads moniker altogether in favor of Free Rock.
