CASTELE found their beginnings in 2017 following a spontaneous trip to Colorado that reunited old friends, Gabriel Terkeurst and Tomas Salgado. Their goal was a simple one: Create Music That Evokes Emotion. But even the simplest ideas yield some of the most beautiful outcomes — combining elements of post-hardcore, alternative, and indie music, CASTELE breaks down the barriers between genres, transcending one label or definition. After solidifying their lineup with the addition of drummer Tristin Cates and bassist Zac Blum, the group hit the ground running, with their self-released EP ‘Elsewhere’ in 2019, striking a keen balance between crushingly heavy and the melodically beautiful. CASTELE is currently working on their debut LP, due out in 2022-2023.
