Spring Offensive are a 5 piece from Oxford, UK. With driving rhythms, dense harmonies, shimmering guitars and anthemic melodies, their music brings to mind the likes of Everything Everything, Radiohead and The National. Between 2010 - 2013 the band released a handful of singles and EP’s, picking up accolades from the likes of NME, Clash and Pigeons & Planes, as well as being playlisted by BBC Radio 1, and toured extensively including several lengthy European tours, supports with the likes of London Grammar, Local Natives and Stornoway and appearances at festivals including T in the Park, Maifeld Derby, Liverpool Soundcity and the Great Escape. In early 2014, the band released their debut album ‘Young Animal Hearts’. One reviewer called the record "a hymn book for the young and affected”, whilst another described it as the 'perfect soundtrack to those in the twenty to thirty age bracket, caught in dead-end jobs, or no jobs at all, all the while watching their relationships fail as their lives go nowhere’. Lead single Bodylifting was chosen by BBC Radio 1's roundtable as record of the week and the band sold out shows across Europe in support of it’s release. Spring Offensive went on holiday in November 2014 and have yet to return.
