Mariette, is one of Sweden's most dearest artists. She started her musical career as a guitarist in different band constellations both touring in Europe and on album recordings. She was therefore a skilled musician before entering the stage as an artist with her own songs. She released her first album on her own label in 2008 and after being headhunted as an arena show guitarist for other popular artists in Sweden she got the opportunity to enter Melodifestivalen as a competing artist and went straight to the finale. This she repeated a total four times with songs written by some of Sweden's biggest songwriters. This all together has led her to being one of Sweden's most loved, respected and booked artists for concerts and live performances. "The song "The One That Got Away” is the beginning of a personal journey where I and the listener get to know me better through my music as I express myself even more intimately and genuinely. I dare to be honest with myself, it’s ok to feel, to think back, dream and talk about difficulties. We develop by opening our hearts. Through my music I get to explore both history and future. I believe that we need to trust that we are allowed to feel both extremely vulnerable as well as being the strongest in the world.
