047 was formed in Sweden as a trio in 2001, with the scope of creating a chiptune Christmas album, released in December 2001. After a few years of creating instrumental chiptune music and performing in various venues around Sweden, the trio became a duo, and the music evolved – leaving the pure chiptune music behind. Since 2010, 047 started incorporating vocals into some of their music through collaborations with other Scandinavian artists and bands. To this day, their biggest success is Förlåta eller svika (2015) – a platinum selling single recorded together with the band Den Svenska Björnstammen. 047 has been appreciated for their sense of melodies and well thought through productions, as well as for their live performances where they always manage to engage the audience.
