A Swedish occult-doom rock unit with psychedelic tendencies, Year of the Goat's unwavering faith in the dark arts and trippy, retro-metal/rock sound, which features plenty of spooky Mellotron and thick Hammond organ, has drawn comparisons to bands like Pentagram, Black Sabbath, Blue Öyster Cult, and Ghost. Formed in 2006 in the eastern city of Nörkopping, the Lucifer-loving rockers issued their debut EP, Lucem Ferre, in 2011, followed by their Van Records-issued full-length debut, Angel's Necropolis, in 2013.
