Mhorai [ˈmorɒj] is a modern death metal band from Hungary. The band was founded by Mate Koteles (guitars) and Gergo Floszmann (screams) who had known each other from a former melodic death metal band. They had the same vision of a powerful metal act with solid grooves, catchy melodies and only harsh vocals. They have started to write songs on their own, but soon after their first demos were recorded, their good friend Tamas Gaspar joined Mhorai with his massive bass playing and his mostly black metal musical background. Their first album ‘Hegemony’ came out in the end of 2021 with the drummer Bence Magvasi. Their second full-length album ‘Waters’ will be released in May, 2023.
