Jeren Alexander Johnson Gordon was born on April 14, 1989 in Cartago, Costa Rica. From a young age he is a lover of football and music. Although his musical work has been characterized by moving in the reggae scene, his musical influences come from very diverse genres. Jeren begins to experiment with music at age 11. Later in 2003, when he was only 14 years old, he had the opportunity to play at Raíces Reggae Bar, one of the busiest reggae bars in the country. Afterwards, he starts playing in numerous bars in the city and receives the opportunity to work with a management agency. In 2010 I play at Irie Fest with renowned artists such as Jah Cure, Mykal Rose, Cali P, Pressure, Richie Spice and Cultura Profetica, a great opportunity for DJ Jeren. Until this moment, soccer and music had had the same importance in his life, and Jeren had reached high levels of recognition and skill in both disciplines, however there was no space for both, and eventually the music wins the battle. Jeren begins to study Musical Production at VonKelemen School, and starts a project called Fyah Red, focused on promoting reggae, music that he admires for its great musical composition and lyrical content. Apart from becoming a nationally recognized DJ, he begins to venture into the industry in different areas, for example, the radio, as a musician, composer and producer. His interest in musical production increased and led him to produce his first studio album.
